New to Canada in 2009 but certainly not new to the online gaming space where the name bodog has become the dominant and most resonant brand over the course of 15 years.

Bonuses, 9.1 – Standard 10% offer was hiked in 2009 to 15% in marking the company’s 15th year in business. For 2012, they moved to 100% bonus offer to keep pace with aggressive competitors. It is normally a modest bonus provider,  simple and not tied to tons of silly rollover conditions. They have embraced competitive (at some times dominant) bonus offers, such as the 100% offer to a maximum of $250 for the start of the 2011 football season.

Customer Service, 9.5 – The highest-rated sportsbook in this category, superior customer service has been bodog’s hallmark for years. Professional, well-trained staff have always handled customer deposits and questions quickly.

Odds variety, 9.2 – New team of props oddsmakers have added some spice to an already potent lineup of sports odds. All the standard point spreads, totals, moneylines mix with unique fantasy-style props, team-based wagers and a good assortment of future bets (who will win the next Stanley Cup for example).

Overall Experience, 9.6 – Not only is the sportsbook terrific and the casino a rollicking good time, but the poker room is generally regarded as one of the best in the world. From the first click to the polished and tightly designed front page to drilling easily into sections, much attention is paid to flow and overall customer experience. Again, they rate highest in this category.

Payment Solutions, 9.0 – Processing developed into an issue in late 2008 (as it did for many companies) but bodog is back with a wide array of preferred options for deposit and withdrawals.

Reputation, 9.1 – Formerly led by the controversial Calvin Ayre, bodog has experienced a significant re-organization of the company and a focus on Europe. Those who know the people standing behind the company never wavered on them and they have restored their rightful place atop the heap again through hard work and focus on customer service. They remain a controversial face of the industry but they continue to polish a reputation for fairness and above-board play. Plenty of growth in Asia, but legacy smudges to the reputation do not wear off easily.

Software, 9.4 – bodog formally ran its games and operation on partner software, but has systematically bought out or created its own proprietary platforms. This is significant in terms of the functionality and security of the platform and it makes navigating between the casino and racebook and poker room a breeze. It is fast, reliable and heavily encrypted for safety and enjoyment.

Stability/License, 9.6 – Bodog Europe holds the exclusive license to the Bodog brand for online gaming in Europe and Canada, and operates Bodog.co.uk and Bodog.ca pursuant to current Interactive Gaming and Wagering Licenses, and is regulated and overseen by the Antigua and Barbuda Financial Services Regulatory Commission, Directorate of Offshore Gaming. The United Kingdom's Department of Culture, Media and Sport have designated and recognized Antigua and Barbuda as a trusted, highly-regulated "white listed" jurisdiction effective Nov. 3, 2008.

TSB Experience, 9.5 – This is a subjective category and bodog earns a top grade in it due to more than a decade of trustworthy, polite and professional relationships with several TopSportsbooks.ca member companies and individuals. Bills are paid, management is professional and knowledgeable and customer service is superb. It is the group most trusted by members of TSB.ca.

Website , 9.0 – Could use some enhancements after the same design for several years. One of the first online gaming operators to raise the bar significantly on design quality, bodog also redoubles its branding efforts by ensuring all channels (poker, horse, sports, casino) carry related brand elements. Ditto their banner and other advertising avails. Long story short, you know bodog instantly when you see a bodog brand element. The website clearly lays out the channels, clearly details the Join process and itemizes the various bonus options. Content is solid, navigation is smooth.
