When new sports bettors eventually learn about ‘price shopping’ and ‘line value,’ they invariably end up at PinnacleSports for much of their action. Huge volume, huge bets, esteemed history and the best odds you can get.

Bonuses, 8.3 – The only sportsbook in the business to offer NO bonus to new players. Why would Pinnacle not offer this signup perk? Because this is not the book you play at if you need bonuses as incentives. You get far more value in the lower-priced odds that you ever will in a 10% or 20% bonus. Read on and the Pinny value will become clearer to you as you see just how much better the odds are than at other books and sports lotteries too.

Customer Service, 9.1 – Since 1998, Pinnacle has lived by the creed that you can make money while also providing a quality service and superb value to customers. That value translates into better prices and a spotless reputation for payouts. You will notice a lack of live help, but customer support via email is reliable almost 24/7 and you always get a knowledgeable rep to walk you through any questions. A common complaint is that live chat or phone support is not readily available.

Odds variety, 9.2 – A terrific array of international sports and all the North American ones, and they formerly paid extra attention to Canadian events, which is a great perk for Canadian players. Curling’s Brier isn’t even considered at many online sportsbooks, but you can bet on all the matches at Pinnacle. For a time, Pinny offered hockey odds on small local senior leagues. You will also see a wider range of hockey odds from leagues in Belarus to the KHL in Russia (where many former NHLers ply their trade). This expansion of odds now pushes more into European and Asian niches.

Overall Experience, 9.3 – The website has not enjoyed a major facelift in years, but flash and glitz is not what the Pinny player is after. Pinny keeps costs down so it can pass along the savings in better odds. What does this mean? Typically, you place a wager on the Cowboys at -6.5, -110 (the -110 being the 10% commission or juice you pay to book the wager). Well, at Pinnacle, that -110 is -105 or maybe even -102. Why is that significant? If you went to Walmart and a product was $110, but over at Home Depot it was $102 – where would you buy it? Over the course of a week or month or years, you will save tons of money in cheaper bets. These savings alone make for a terrific overall experience as Pinny players are not looking for flashy bonuses. They have added poker and casino in recent years.

Payment Solutions, 9.4 – Bank wires, cashier cheques, VISA – the list of payment options for deposits and withdrawals takes up an entire page on the Pinnacle website. The processes are protected by 128-bit encryption and other safeguards that make betting at Pinny like money in the bank.

Reputation, 9.6 – Exited the US market in 2006, but continued to enjoy huge client base in Canada and the rest of the world. This is where many of the world’s true high rollers play their biggest action and there has never been a complaint of unfair or unsavory practices in terms of payouts – the ownership group ensures it can never happen with proper safeguards and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Less focus on Canada as more emphasis on Asian market has left Canucks a bit in the cold.

Software, 9.4 – Running a tailored version of the stable ASI software platform, customer satisfaction has always been high.

Stability/License, 9.6 – Established in 1998, PinnacleSports.com has long been licensed and regulated by the Netherlands Antilles Justice Department and operates from Curacao. Under the terms of that license – which is recognized by the UK White Listing Board – requires Pinnacle to have enough money on hand to pay out any bet. Not all sportsbooks abide by this and it has always been a tenet of Pinny’s to ensure customers are safe.

TSB Experience, 9.4 – Members of TopSportsbooks.com have met management, marketing and ownership officials many times in the past and the contacts are always marked by courtesy, intelligence and professionalism. No TSB.ca member companies report any issues of any type in vendor or partner dealings with Pinnacle. In recent years, there has been less interaction and vendor relationship but it remains a truly classy group of people.

Website , 9.2 – When you arrive on site, you are not blown away by the design or flash. This is part of the Pinnacle brand – basic website, low frills, super value and savings when you dig a little deeper. There is casino and poker at the ready and a nice complement of sports stats, scores and information to help both Canadian and international sports bettors.
