Bet365 NFL Prop Bets
After gathering some info from Week 1 results, betting NFL props during Week 2 of the NFL season should be easier right? Here' a look at some of the Week 2 NFL props offerings at Bet365 to wet your appetite.
Longest Touchdown scored:
The over/under for this prop will be different for every game with a few Week 2 examples being 40.5 yards in Tampa Bay at Minnesota and 46.5 yards in Philadelphia at Atlanta. It will be interesting to see what the total is for New England's game this week after Tom Brady and Wes Welker hooked up for a 99-yard TD pass in Week 1.
Longest Field Goal made:
This could be another interesting prop this week after Sebastian Janikowski record-tying field goal last week in Denver. For anyone that missed it the strong-legged Raiders kicker booted a 63-yard field goal in the Denver thin air.
First coaches challenge
Coaching challenges have changed slightly this season now that all touchdowns will be reviewed. All games have even odds with both sides at -120 so it's basically a coin flip.
Team to call first timeout
This prop also has even odds with both sides at -120, but that doesn't mean it's a coin flip. The Eagles had some on-field problems last week and burned through their time outs quick. If that happens again versus the Falcons they could be worth a couple bucks.
Special team or defensive touchdown scored?
There were a few kickoffs and punts returned for touchdowns last week, but it wasn't the norm around the league. In fact the new kickoff rules reduced the number of returns and increased the number of touch backs. For example in Denver the Raiders didn't return a single kick thanks to repeated touch backs. The odds are different for each game in Week 2 so watch out for the best value.
Team to commit first penalty:
Some teams were penalized a lot in Week 1. Take Oakland for example, who were flagged 15 times. The Chiefs, despite getting blasted in Week 1 were penalized only once. If this trends continue in Week 1 this could be a lucrative prop.
Team scoring first wins game:
In Week 1 the team that scored first won 10 of 16 games.
